Acclaimed Haida artist Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas held a special artist talk at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac to celebrate the museum’s recent acquisition of nine paintings from his Daalkaatlii Diaries series.

This event marked the first time these works were put on display as part of the museum’s permanent collection. Yahgulanaas will speak about his unique hybrid art practice, which blends Haida visual storytelling with graphic novel aesthetics, and reflect on the themes and process behind Daalkaatlii Diaries.
