Faux Palindrome
October 13, 2012
Watercolour, pencil crayon, and ink on paper
Faux Palindrome was painted in Calgary one winter when the light there was wonderfully bright. This painting arises out of a society with an obsessive interest in symmetry. Some of the symbols refer to that synchronicity but position themselves as a contradiction.
Thanks to Professor James Clifford, from the University of California, Santa Cruz for the title of the artwork.
