Expo 2005, officially known as the 2005 World Exposition, was held in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, from March 25 to September 25, 2005. The exposition's theme, "Nature's Wisdom," aimed to showcase ecological co-existence, renewable technology, and the wonders of nature. (More information)

The Canada Pavilion at Expo 2005 embraced the theme "Wisdom of Diversity," highlighting the country's cultural and environmental richness. The pavilion featured a state-of-the-art multimedia show that presented Canada's diversity through the perspectives of six Canadians. (Expo 2005)

Yahgulanaas's work was featured as part of Canada's cultural programming at the exposition. He participated in "duels" with a Japanese counterpart during live performances on site. His "Haida Manga" cartooning style, which fuses Native Totem art with Japanese Manga, is an extremely popular style in Japan. (Canada)
